Battery & Electrical Safety Policy

This Battery & Electrical Safety Policy applies to all products designed, manufactured, or sold by Electrify Labs (“Electrify Labs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By purchasing or using Electrify Labs products, you agree to follow the safety guidelines outlined below.

1. General Electrical Safety

• Electrify Labs products are intended for educational, prototyping, and experimental use.

• Products must be used only within the specified voltage, current, and power limits mentioned in the product documentation.

• Incorrect wiring, overvoltage, reverse polarity, or short circuits may cause permanent damage, fire risk, or personal injury.

• Always disconnect power before making wiring changes or hardware modifications.

2. Battery Usage Guidelines

• Use only the recommended battery type, voltage, and capacity specified for each product.

• Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery chemistries.

• Never use damaged, swollen, leaking, or overheated batteries.

• Do not puncture, crush, disassemble, or expose batteries to fire or high temperatures.

3. Li-Ion / Li-Po Battery Safety

For products using lithium-based batteries:

• Use batteries with built-in protection circuits (BMS/PCM) whenever possible.

• Charge batteries only with compatible and approved chargers.

• Never leave batteries charging unattended.

• Do not charge batteries near flammable materials.

• Stop using the battery immediately if excessive heat, smell, swelling, or smoke is observed.

4. Charging & Power Supply Safety

• Use only approved chargers and power adapters with correct voltage and current ratings.

• Do not exceed the maximum charging voltage or current specified for the product.

• Ensure proper ventilation during charging and operation.

• Do not operate products on unstable or damaged power sources.

5. Motor, High-Current & Load Safety

• Motors, relays, and high-current outputs may generate heat during operation.

• Do not exceed rated current limits of motor drivers or power connectors.

• Ensure motors and loads are properly mounted and mechanically secured.

• Keep fingers, hair, and loose objects away from moving parts.

6. Environmental & Handling Safety

• Use products in dry, clean, and well-ventilated environments.

• Avoid exposure to water, moisture, conductive dust, or corrosive chemicals.

• Do not operate products in explosive or hazardous environments.

• Store batteries and products away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. User Responsibility

• Users are responsible for understanding basic electrical safety before use.

• Adult supervision is required when products are used by students or minors.

• Electrify Labs is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse, modification, or operation outside specified limits.

8. Disposal & Recycling

• Batteries must be disposed of according to local electronic waste and battery recycling regulations.

• Do not dispose of batteries or electronic products in household waste.

• Follow regional environmental and safety guidelines for proper disposal.
